A Custom Marquise Engagement Ring Inspired by His Artistry

This custom engagement ring began with a vision from the fiancé himself. As a bonsai artist, his work is centered around shape, movement, balance, and the beauty found in natural forms. Working together with Albert Kaz, those influences became the inspiration for a completely one-of-a-kind ring created especially for his proposal.

The Story Behind the Design

At the center of the design is a marquise diamond, surrounded by intricate, flowing details inspired by the sculptural character of bonsai trees. The setting was designed with graceful, branch-like movement and layers of texture that give the ring dimension from every angle.

Rather than starting with a traditional engagement ring style, the design developed from the fiancé’s own creative perspective. Albert worked closely with him to translate those ideas into a wearable piece of fine jewelry, balancing the ornate detailing with the elegance and brilliance of the marquise center stone.

The result is a truly personal engagement ring—one that reflects not only their story, but also something meaningful about the person who imagined it.
