Peter & Janice: A Love Story in Two Rings

There is nothing more inspiring than designing for a couple deeply in love. When Peter, a long-time client, introduced us to Janice, their joy and playful energy filled the studio instantly. What began as lighthearted storytelling soon revealed a romance rooted in adventure—these two first connected at a pole-vaulting competition in Fresno, bonded by their shared passion for athletics. Their journey together eventually led them to Italy, where Peter proposed during a dreamlike gondola ride in Venice. In true Peter-and-Janice fashion, their excitement nearly tipped the boat over as they captured the moment!

When it came to the ring, Peter wanted something as unique and radiant as Janice herself. Albert had previously designed a one-of-a-kind Tahitian pearl ring for her—an extraordinary piece that sparked inspiration for the engagement ring. Together, we created a bespoke 14K white gold ring featuring a brilliant round center diamond surrounded by a double halo, with diamonds cascading down the shank. The finishing touch? An extraordinary innovation: custom 14K yellow gold diamond-set ring guards, designed to pair seamlessly with both her pearl ring and her engagement ring. This dual design elevated her collection, giving Janice endless versatility while creating a breathtaking two-tone effect.

Of course, the celebration would not be complete without a custom wedding band for Peter—crafted in 14K white and yellow gold with diamonds and intricate filigree details. The result was a pair of designs that captured their individuality while uniting their story in perfect harmony.
